Lately everyone has been telling me the sharks feed at sunset. I tell them I don't believe it, but I am sure, a little gets in. And when I am wading under a colored sky, my limbs feel heavy with caution. Maybe it is true and maybe it isn't. I could find out easily, but I don't.

"that would make it more real" my mom told me with tears in her eyes.

Fear spreads easily, from tongue to tongue, and you have to be careful not to catch it. Especially the back and forth of feedback loops. Did you know if you chase Pop Rocks with Dr. Pepper you will explode? Or that Muslim children are raised to hate America? Most homeless people are drug addicts and when women with wealthy husbands hit 40 they get traded in for a newer model.

Would you like to swim with me at sunset and maybe drown together?
Would you like to swim with me at sunset far enough out to not hear the drone?
And if the world explodes from the roar, there will be no one left to say I told you so.
